On January 6th, 2021, the Capitol of United States of America and the Constitution upon which our very Republic is built was attacked by domestic, right-wing insurrectionists.

 

At the behest of the President at a rally at the White House that morning, the mob marched to the Capitol. Some insurrectionists brought with them Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, zipcuffs, and the intent to stop the certification of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris becoming the next President and Vice President of the United States.

Five Americans lost their lives in this failed coup.
